The cheesecake sounds delicious! I personally love cardamom - one of my favorite spices. I would be so pleased to have anything as good as chai cheesecake come out of my oven though - cracks or not! LoL.

Stupid character decisions make me rage too. "Yes, I know there are zombies or monsters or whatever in this dark and creepy mansion, but I'm going to go in alone anyway! What could possibly go wrong?" *headdesk* The BC misinformation thing makes it worse.

I like cardamom too! One of my favorite holiday cookies are these little butter things for the spritz press that are flavored with cardamom and vanilla. Scout likes those...I wonder if it was the combination of cardamom and ginger and clove that was off-putting. The world may never know.

Cheesecakes have an unwarranted reputation as being difficult to pull off. All you need is a springform pan and a decent recipe--of which there are many on the internet.

I guess character dumb is what pushes the plot forward--watching the people fall apart under the stress and seeing how they deal with each other in extreme situations. And if everyone in zombie flicks did everything the "smart" way, it wouldn't be as interesting.

I thought the same thing last ep about the Morning After pill. I was like "YOU CAN'T DO THAT YOU STUPID! DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY." My husband was amused by my ranting.

and tonight's ep, what did you think of that?! The ending..kind of didn't surprise me.

LOL I know! I was like "plan b is not the same thing as ru 486! It is not the abortion pill! It must be taken within a few days of intercourse! You would not find a medical abortion pill at a pharmacy!"

The ending was good--it made sense from a storytelling point of view. I mean Sophia was gone for sooooo long...whenever they found her it would be almost anti-climactic, so it made sense that she had been turned. And the fact that they had just killed all the people who had been friends and family of Hershel made it hit home for them why they had kept them in the barn.

I though for sure something bad was going to happen during the Shane/Dale confrontation. Shane is one angry MF. I just can't believe we have to wait until February now for new episodes.

lol! I was yelling at the tv! I was like "Dude! You are pregnant, deal with it! Plan B doesn't work weeks after, you gotta take that shit as soon as possible!"

I figured Sophia was turned, but was kind of hoping Daryl would find her alive as he's my favorite and the only one with any common sense, but oh well. At least they know what happened. I kind of felt bad for Hershel a little when they killed everyone, but Shane did have a point, even if he made it a little too boldly.

I thought Shane was going to off Dale in the woods and feed him to the zombies. He is off his nut big time, I think he's gonna end up going off the deep end before too much longer. I hate that we have to wait until February. :P

Daryl's my favorite too :)

I felt bad for Hershel--he obviously is mistaken about the walkers in thinking they are "just sick" but holy shit Shane killed them all in about the most assholish way he could.

I think he's gonna end up going off the deep end before too much longer And when he does, it's gonna be scary!

The cheesecake sounds awesome! I've never thought about making a chai cheesecake before...I wonder if you could leave out the vanilla or sub it with another flavor, like ginger. (I'm a loather of all things vanilla-y).

I think you could easily leave it out. And it isn't a strong vanilla taste imo--more like a flavor enhancer than a main idea.

That cheesecake is totally happening in my life. I've never made one before because I'm always like well, I can just buy it, but--

Yeah. I'm not going to find that anywhere around here. Especially not cheap. So it'll be a fun project. Maybe I'll make it for Christmas.

All you need is a springform pan and the rest of the ingredients are easily found in a normal grocery...except I guess the Chai concentrate. I got my carton at Whole Foods if you have one of those nearby.

With a cup of coffee it is the fucking best.

Very careful with the knees! I'm trying to decide if I want to do a long run today but it will probably all depend on how the knee feels.
