Hair stuff

Ok my hair is driving me crazy. Its growing in super thick and I swear its growing faster. A friend suggested that maybe the hair wasn't falling out like it use to but my shower drain and brush seem to claim otherwise, no more or less seem to be falling out than usual. The problem with this is my hair is a freaking pain when wet and its killing ( Read more... )

If you were to choose a cut that is longer in the front and shorter in the back, it should help tremendously. Just keep the layers in front longer than your chin and the extra chin isn't noticeable. I like the second one, but it might be more work for you when you get further along. :)

thats probably a good idea, I didn't think about keeping it longer in front, I just was focused on the short. :)

hormones are changing your hair growth patterns and need to read this (first link I found but it confirmed my memory banks)

As for the style I agree with the first comment... go long in the front and short in the back. Sort of a pseudo-Chelsea with a stacked back (instead of shaven), an exaggerated swing bob or perhaps a "reverse mullett" will get the point across. I'd go to a Tony & Guy salon if you have one... they speak extreme hairstyle well. Check out the Asian chick in the Cameron Allison set fun bangs, long frame around the face, dramatic gradient to what appears to be really short on the back of the head.

I think we have one it may be the salon my brother's girlfriend works at, I can't remember for sure. I really like that cut, I've had something similar but I don't think I've had anything as dramatic

I'm a big fan of easy care functional hair and that seems to land me in the dramatic category lately. First it was my Chelsea (didn't know that's what it was when I got it) and now it is my mohawk; well, half-hawk 'cause the full mohawk wasn't working out. Not that I spike my 'hawk as my hair is amazingly limp. I put it in a pony-tail on top of my head and it makes a cute little fountain. Children stare, antique men avoid me, frumpy women in their 50's compliment me enviously and stylish women in their 60's rave about how fun it looks. Granted, I kept the little piece that dangles in front of my ears for sake of femininity.

I may have gotten bored with having hair and think I may shave what little I have off and keep it that way for a while, but maybe I'll cut this mop (it's 8 inches long now) and see if I'm less annoyed. With the exception of my poof of topknot I can't imagine having hair longer than Jamie Lee Curtis' again. After years of saying I'd never have short hair I consider short hair to be long now-a-days!

yeah I tend towards easy care hair too, I usually regret when I get more complicated styles cause I usually end up not styling it like I'm suppose to and it looks like crap. I'm really a wash and go person. I use to have a mohawk, its wonderful for warm weather, I never really wore it spiked either.

I've often thought about shaving off my hair too but I get cold so easily I think I like to at least have some on top since most of the time its cold and wet up here.
