I have zero interest in watching anything Kiefer Sutherland is in, but I was pleasantly surprised to see Japanese people speaking Japanese in is new show. With this, Heroes, and Bones, I think TV is officially more progressive than Hollywood.

bones may have featured matsuda seiko in one episode (bizarre!), but let's not forget that other episode with that androgynous scientist and random japanese detective, which not only featured badly spoken japanese but also was basically one big train-wreck of an episode full of godawful orientalist trash about "the japanese." and heroes may have had masi oka but the actor who played ando - gah! also, what about that whole plot arc set in edo japan?? GAHHHHH!

I said they were more progressive, not that they were without huge gaping flaws....
