Title: Blood Ties
Part: Five
Pariing: Kahlan/Cara
Rating: NC17
Count: 5242
Disclaimer: Blah blah blah nothing belongs to me blah blah blah. [/Pam's voice]
Summary: Cara's a vamp. Kahlan's a... *shifty eyes* human. They meet. Stuff happens. I hate writing out summaries.
A/N: I'd like to give a big, wet, sloppy thanks to
huffstodt for the general pain in my ass help she's been. Thank you, my dearest Homeslice.
A/N2: A very, very, very special thanks to
white-coma for the lovely graphic. *licks*
A/N3: Seriously! I've pretty much taken the uh... mythology? Of both shows, threw it in the paper shredder, set it on fire, sprinkled the ashes in a bowl of milk and dumped it down the gutter. Fair warning. At first I thought this part would be completely ridiculous but then I saw the TB season finale. Plus, I don't really care. It's my fic and I'll do whatever I want. *stomps foot* (Even if it's sticking a certain place underground in New Orleans. Yes, the irony has not escaped me. But I <3 New Orleans and couldn't resist.)
A/N4: Also, be aware. Mushy feelings ahead.
EDIT A/N: Yes, the title has changed. Yes, I know the original one sucked. Yes, I know this one isn't all that imaginative. No. I do not care. kthx.

“Cara?”
Kahlan watched the vampire. Cara was still standing across the room, naked, seemingly trying to sink into the wall. Kahlan was worried; she had no idea what was going on. Apparently, her blood had broken some kind of bond Cara had with the vampire who made her and by the look on Cara’s face, this was very serious.
Cara was trying to think. She knew Nicci well enough to know that her sire would be very angry. Not only was Cara now in danger, so was Kahlan. Nicci was ruthless and cruel, and did not like when something was taken away from her. Cara was just grateful Nicci knew nothing of Kahlan and now that their connection was severed, her Maker wouldn’t be able to find Cara so easily. But that didn’t mean Nicci would never find her.
Then there was the whole matter of just exactly what Kahlan was and how she was even able to do this in the first place. Obviously, Kahlan was just as clueless as Cara. One thing was for certain, she needed to find out, and find out quickly.
She had an idea. She didn’t like it.
“I have to go,” she said suddenly and went about picking up her clothes.
“What?” Kahlan pulled the sheets around her like a robe and slid off the bed, walking towards Cara. She couldn’t believe this, Cara was just going to leave?
“Kahlan, I have to go. Now. I’m…” she paused, slipping her pants back on, refusing to look at Kahlan. “I’m sorry.”
“You’re sorry?” Kahlan asked, incredulous. She placed a hand on Cara’s shoulder, forcing the vampire to look at her. “Cara. What is going on? How can you just leave me like this?”
Cara stopped what she was doing and gazed into Kahlan’s beautiful, blue eyes. There was hurt there. It pulled at something deep within the vampire. “Kahlan,” she sighed, “I’m not… leaving you.” She softly cupped Kahlan’s cheek, grateful when the brunette leaned in to her touch. “I just need to find out what happened.” Her hand slid down to lightly touch the two marks her teeth had made on Kahlan’s neck, feeling the blood that had begun to dry there. All of a sudden, she felt an overwhelming urge to strip back out of her clothes and throw Kahlan back unto the bed.
But she had something to do first.
She placed both hands on the sides of Kahlan’s face, her eyes imploring the brunette to understand. “You’re in danger now.”
Kahlan felt her eyebrows furrow, confused. “What do you mean?”
“I mean-” She stopped, trying to figure out how to explain this. “The vampire who made me. You’ve essentially stolen me from her, somehow. She will come after us. After you.”
“Cara,” Kahlan sighed, “If that’s true, then shouldn’t you stay with me? Or, I should go with you? Aren’t we safer together?”
Cara closed her eyes, wishing that were true. “Kahlan, even I can’t protect you from Nicci. She is so much more older, more powerful, than me.”
Kahlan reached up to grab one of Cara’s hands resting on her cheek, bringing it to her lips and placed a kiss on the palm. “I don’t want you to leave,” she whispered pleadingly. But inside she knew Cara was only doing what she felt was necessary. Still, Kahlan didn’t have to like it. “Promise me, you’ll come back.”
Cara wanted to look away, but found she couldn‘t. The way Kahlan was looking at her with such naked emotion tore at her. Made the spot where her heart should be beating ache. This wasn’t who she was. She was a monster. A monster who was never anything less than proud of what she was; cold and heartless.
That is, until Kahlan came along.
Cara leaned in to place a kiss on Kahlan‘s lips, a kiss of assurance. “I promise,” she murmured against Kahlan’s lips.
Kahlan pulled Cara back when the blonde tried to move away. “When?”
“As soon as I can. It’ll be a couple of days. You’re safe for now, I swear.” Cara kissed Kahlan deeply, pouring every ounce of promise she could into it. “I will come back to you.”

New Orleans, Louisiana
Cara slammed open the double doors leading to the great underground library, the sound of the thick, old wood hitting the walls with a satisfying bang, reverberating throughout the massive space. The library was completely hidden away from humans. There were even more vampires who didn’t know about it than those who did. It was the place where archives and accounts, both ancient and new, of vampires and other species were kept.
If Cara was going to find anything to help her figure out what Kahlan was, this was the best, and most likely only, place to start.
She just really did not want to talk to the man who oversaw the library.
“Ah, Cara. What a pleasure it is to see you again.”
Cara cocked her head to the side, already annoyed at his voice. “Really? Even after the last time?” She raised an eyebrow at him.
He shrugged nonchalantly. “Yes well. That was seventy years ago. I’ve moved on.”
Cara squinted her eyes at him. “I doubt that. You‘re not exactly the ‘move on‘ type.”
“Perhaps not. But there’s little I can do about it now.”
Cara smirked. “Regardless, I’m sure you’re still plotting away. Ever the ambitious one, aren’t you Rahl?”
Darken Rahl ran his fingers casually through his long, dark hair before crossing his arms across his chest, looking almost regal in his short red velvet jacket. “You know me so well.” He gave her his most charming smile.
“I do,” Cara replied. “And I know you’ve had plenty of time to plan your next lame scheme, what with being nothing more than a glorified librarian now.”
Rahl huffed but knew better than to let Cara bait him, he expected no less from her. “What do you want?” He asked in a tone that was both annoyed and bored.
Cara’s face turned hard. “Information.”
Rahl made a point to look around the library. “Clearly.”
Cara stepped further towards Rahl, not for the first time wondering if this was a good idea. Darken was certainly not a friend of hers. But she was left with little choice. “I… fed on someone,” she started, choosing her words carefully. “And something changed in me. This human’s blood… severed my bond with my Maker.”
“Oh?” Rahl perked up, suddenly very intrigued.
“Yes. I need to know what this human is and how this could even happen.”
Rahl brought a finger to his bottom lip in a motion that indicated he was thinking, though Cara knew better. Rahl was as devious as they came. And smart. He was toying with her. Cara glared at him.
“I think I… may remember coming across something similar to your predicament.” He smiled at Cara but said no more.
Cara continued to glare at him. “And?”
“And? Why should I help you?” He clasped his hands behind him, turning away and walking towards an old massive desk lined with books in the center of the library.
Cara followed him, she could tell he was enjoying this. “Because, as much as you hate me, you hate Nicci even more. And you know she is not pleased about this.”
Darken sneered at the mention of Nicci’s name. “I imagine.”
Cara continued. “So, if this human is something powerful, you know she’ll stop at nothing to get to them. Do you want Nicci to succeed?”
“And what makes you think I won’t get to this human first? For my own gain?” He grinned at Cara.
Cara chuckled. “You’re trapped here, Rahl. You have no progeny left to do your bidding outside-”
“I won’t be stuck in here forever.” He interrupted threateningly.
Cara perched herself on the edge of the desk, unfazed by his little outburst. “That may be true, but for now, my concerns are a little more immediate.”
“You forget Cara. Nicci is the reason I’m trapped here… but so are you.” He gave her a falsely pleasant smile, once again crossing his arms against his chest.
Cara rolled her eyes, amused. “You tried to kill my Maker. What was I supposed to do? Besides…” She grinned. “You’re just pissed off a vampire as young as me managed to stop you.”
“You poured melted silver all over me!” Rahl yelled. Then he calmed and added in an almost playful tone, “That hurt, you know.”
“I know.” Cara smiled wistfully. That was a fun memory.
She stood. Face serious again. “So, are you going to tell me or not?”
Rahl thought for a moment. Cara could just imagine what was going on in that head of his and she didn’t like it. She didn’t trust him in the least but her fear of Nicci and what she would do to Kahlan was more important.
Rahl pursed his lips, then turned towards the seemingly endless shelves of books. “This way.”
~*~*~
“I don’t care if you have to burn the whole fucking city down. FIND HER!” Nicci slammed the phone down. Then picked it up and smashed it against the wall, leaving an impressive dent in the plaster.
The three other vampires in the small office, men massive in size, nervously darted their eyes between each other.
Nicci paced. Her flowing black dress jerking with her movements. She was furious; her office was a testament to that. Papers were strewn everywhere. Glass broken on the floor. Her chair smashed to pieces. And then there was the hole in the wall, surrounded with blood and brain splatter from a vampire’s head who failed to get out of her way fast enough.
She couldn’t feel Cara. She thought maybe Cara had been killed, but it didn’t feel that way. She was certain her childe was still out there. Somewhere. Cara should have called by now. Why hadn’t she called? And why were her other lackeys failing to find her?
Nicci walked up to the biggest cowering vampire in her office and punched him so hard, his head was now through the wall.
She growled at the knock on her door.
“What?!”
The door opened. Nicci narrowed her eyes menacingly at the woman who walked in.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” She snarled.
The other woman merely smiled. “I believe I can help you find Cara.”
~*~*~
“A confessor?”
Rahl sighed. “That’s what I said.” He hated repeating himself.
Cara scanned the page of the book in front of her. A look of utter confusion on her face. “I don’t understand. According to this, confessors have been extinct for nearly two thousand years. And all that describes them… Kah-” Cara stopped, she did not want Darken to know Kahlan’s name. “This human has none of these traits. Enslaving people‘s souls and minds by a mere touch. The ability to discern truth in others.” Though, she wasn’t entirely sure of that. Kahlan did sometimes seem able to know when someone wasn’t being forthcoming. Like when the coffeehouse server had told them they were out of cranberry orange scones. But that hardly counted.
“’Extinct’… isn’t entirely the correct word.” Darken said, waving a finger absently in the air.
“Don’t play with me, Rahl,” Cara growled. She was not in the mood for his word games. They were tiresome.
Darken chuckled. “Forgive me, it’s been a long time since I’ve had a visitor.” He hunched over as his hands were once again clasped behind him. He paced a little as he explained. “Two thousand years ago-”
Cara sighed dramatically.
Darken glared at her. “Do you want to know or not?”
“Fine.” She huffed, crossing her arms. She waved a hand. “Continue.”
After another moment of glaring, Darken went on. “Nearly two thousand years ago, a powerful vampire learned that, if another were to feed off a confessor’s blood, the bond between Maker and childe was broken and transferred to the confessor herself. Sort of like how she could confess another human, and make them her total love slave --for lack of a better term; only different for us. This vampire, who discovered that little secret, figured it could be used to enslave other powerful vampires. So long as he controlled the confessor, he controlled the bond of others. Other vampires soon discovered this, of course-”
“Wait. You’re saying that, now I am bonded to this human? Like I was with Nicci?”
Darken paused. “In a sense, yes.” He smiled at her.
Cara’s eyes darted down. She could feel Kahlan but she thought that was just due to feeding on her, like with any other human. She would have to test this bond later. When Darken Rahl wasn’t leering at her with such devious delight.
She looked back at him. “So what happened? Why aren’t there hundreds or thousands of confessors still running around?”
Darken shrugged and resumed his absent pacing. “Well, obviously, the more vampires who knew about this, the more confessors were hunted down and exploited. A war almost broke out amongst the vampires at the time. Until finally, a handful of confessors in hiding came up with a plan. A group of them got together and enlisted the help of a powerful warlock-”
“A warlock?” Cara asked incredulously.
“Yes, a warlock.” Rahl answered impatiently. “Would you let me finish?”
“Sorry,” Cara raised her hands out in front of her, rolling her eyes.
“Thank you,” he huffed. “Now.” He straightened his jacket, composing himself. “This warlock was able to alter the confessor line. The best way to describe it, is that he ‘diluted’ the powers of all confessors. Making them impossible to find and virtually useless to vampires. It wasn’t easy for the warlock, he nearly died in the process.”
Something didn’t make sense to Cara. “Why all this? All for control over another vampire’s bond? War over that? Hardly seems worth it. Not to mention worth all the confessors giving up or altering their gift. I‘m sure they could‘ve found another way.”
“Yes, well. There may have been more to it than just that. But it’s not in any books I could find nor was I around at the time.” Darken said, a little to blasé for Cara’s liking.
Obviously, he was lying or holding back. Not that Cara was surprised, this was Darken Rahl after all. She would find out eventually. But for now, she changed her questioning.
“Why not just turn the confessors? That way the vampires would never need to find more.”
“Because, my dear Cara, they would die. Truly die. Confessors cannot be turned. Something to do with pure love and heart or… some such nonsense.” He waved a hand dismissively.
“So these ’diluted’ confessors? They could no longer enslave others?”
“In a sense. A true confessor’s power is always there. Ready to be released, at any moment. But with the lessening of it within, a confessor must now reach for it. Seek it out. By now, they wouldn’t even know it exists inside them.”
Cara chewed on the inside of her lip, digesting all of this. What did this mean for Kahlan? Would she be able to tap into this power? What if Nicci found out? Cara felt a sudden dread come over her at the thought of Nicci using Kahlan.
“Can this power be… reawakened? Could it be restored to it‘s former potency?” She needed to know.
Darken grinned. He could tell Cara was distressed. It was a wonderful sight to see. “Only the original warlock could undo it.”
Cara relaxed slightly. Good. At least Nicci wouldn’t be able to--
“I doubt he would, though.”
Cara’s head shot up. “He’s still alive?!”
Rahl laughed, deep and fully. “Oh yes, Cara. He very much is. He’s powerful. Prolonged life is quite an easy feat for someone like him.”
Cara stomped up to Darken Rahl. Angry. Panicked. “What’s his name and where can I find him?”
~*~*~
Kahlan couldn’t concentrate. She tried to keep herself busy the last couple of days, and not think of where Cara was or what she was doing. During the day it was somewhat easy, with her classes at the university. But when she was home, alone, all her thoughts would be of the vampire. A part of her wanted to be angry at Cara for running out like that. But deep down, Kahlan knew it was for the best, or at least, the vampire truly believed it was. Kahlan was the outsider here. She had no idea how things worked among Cara’s kind, Kahlan didn’t feel she had the right to interfere.
Well, that wasn’t entirely true. This involved her, it was because of her blood this mess (whatever it was) had started in the first place. She wanted to believe it was just some freak accident, but Kahlan knew better than that.
Kahlan sighed and flipped the page of her book. She was currently lounging on the couch in her living room, her feet tucked beneath her.
She really didn’t want to think about what had happened. She promised herself she wouldn’t, not until Cara got back.
As usual, her thoughts, when they were on the blonde vampire, shifted to that night.
She tried not to think of that night, really she did. Nonetheless, anytime she would turn her head the slightest and feel a twinge emanate from the wounds on her neck, memories would come unbidden to her. Every time her thoughts drifted to it, an almost unbearable, but no less blissful, ache would form low in her belly and a smile would start to pull at her lips. She remembered the feel of the vampire beneath her, and above her. The way they moved together, as if they had done it a thousand times before. The way Cara had shivered when Kahlan--
She slammed her book closed, shaking her head.
She really wished Cara was here.
Kahlan got up and moved towards the kitchen. She wasn’t hungry but she perused the inside of the refrigerator anyways. She just needed something to do. Seeing nothing of interest, Kahlan closed the door and moved to the cupboard. Once again, nothing appealed to her.
She settled on a glass of wine. After pouring herself a glass, she leaned back against the counter and absently sipped.
The doorbell rang.
Kahlan looked at the clock on the microwave, 10:48pm. It was either one of Denna’s friends or… Kahlan took a deep breath as she walked to the door. She really hoped it was Cara.
She opened the door and sighed with relief. It was Cara. Kahlan was about to wrap her arms around the vampire but the look on Cara’s face stopped her. The blonde looked… perturbed.
“Cara?”
“You wanted me.”
Kahlan, despite total confusion at Cara’s words, felt her face flush. “Wha-”
“Just now,” Cara elaborated, still deep in thought. “I felt you. You were thinking about me. You wanted me here.” She finally looked at Kahlan. “I guess it is true.”
Kahlan stepped aside so Cara could enter. “What‘s true?”
Cara removed her jacket, placing it on the chair as she had before. She turned back towards Kahlan, her face unreadable. “I am now bonded to you, Kahlan. I found out what you are. Not only did you break my bond with Nicci, you took it into yourself.”
Kahlan shook her head, coming to stand in front of Cara. “Wait…. What does that mean? And what do you mean you found out what I am?” She wrapped her arms around her middle, to keep from reaching out to Cara. “I’m just… me. I’m just… human.”
Cara smiled softly, stepping closer so she could gently run her fingertips along Kahlan’s cheek. “No, Kahlan. You are so much more than just human.” Cara wasn’t sure if she meant that Kahlan was a confessor or… something else.
Kahlan’s eyes fluttered at Cara’s light touch. She needed Cara to kiss her. Now. She desperately needed--
Lips pressed to hers, brushing insistently.
Kahlan moaned, feeling all the tension leave her body as she leaned into the kiss.
When Cara pulled away, Kahlan tried to follow.
“Kahlan,” the vampire chuckled, trying to get her attention. “That’s exactly what I’m talking about.”
Kahlan opened her eyes, her brows scrunched in confusion. “What?”
Cara sighed. She walked over to take a seat on the couch, silently asking Kahlan to join her. Once Kahlan was settled close to her, Cara began to explain.
“You are what is known as a confessor.”
“A confessor of what?”
Cara laughed. “No, it’s… complicated. I’m still not completely clear on the details. Basically- What?” Kahlan was smiling at her, indulgently.
“I just like to hear you laugh.” She continued smiling, adding, “Genuinely, that is.”
Cara rolled her eyes at the brunette. “Hopeless romantic,” she muttered, though her lips were curved upwards slightly.
“Guilty.” Kahlan ran her fingers through Cara’s hair once. “So, you were saying…?”
“Yes, as I was saying,” she said, feigning exasperation. “Basically, I am now bonded to you. When you broke the line that connected me to my Maker, you pulled it into you. It’s as if…” Cara hoped she was saying this right. “As if you are now my Maker. But… not?” She shook her head, frustrated. “I’m not saying this right. I mean-”
“We’re connected.” Kahlan smiled softly.
“Yes.”
“So… what all does that entail?”
Cara shifted on the couch, turning sideways on it and facing Kahlan, making sure she had her complete attention. “It means, that not only can I feel you at anytime, like if you were ever in danger or something, but also… you can… command me. If you want something, want me to do something, anything, I am… compelled to do so. If you concentrate hard enough, that is.” Any other person, Cara would not tell this to. But she trusted Kahlan, knew that she would not abuse this power over Cara. That brought a comfort to the vampire.
Kahlan wasn’t sure she liked that last part. She didn’t want Cara to be forced to do anything for her. That wasn’t right, it wasn’t true. And furthermore, it wasn’t fair to Cara.
Cara watched Kahlan. She could read everything that floated across the brunette’s face. She knew exactly what she was thinking, without the need of the bond.
“I would still do it,” Cara admitted softly, running a hand through Kahlan’s hair, comforting as best she could. “With or without the bond, I would still do anything for you.” Her words were spoken softly, but she meant them with complete conviction.
Kahlan gazed into those forest green eyes, seeing the absolute truth in them. Never in her wildest imaginings would she ever find herself where she was now. Here, with this woman, this vampire, who was willing to give herself completely to Kahlan. And Kahlan found herself willing to give all in return. It was like some dream. Maybe even some sort of twisted fairytale.
“But Cara, it’s still not fair to you.”
Cara sat back against the couch, with a half-snort. “Kahlan, I’ve spent almost three hundred years tied to a sadistic, power-hungry bitch. I think I’ll manage,” She replied dryly.
Kahlan shook her head. “But still-”
“Kahlan,” Cara almost whined. “Regardless, what’s done is done. You don’t want to use the bond, then don’t. It’s that simple.”
Kahlan mulled that over. Was it really that simple? What if she inadvertently commanded Cara to do something? It seems she had already. Then again, she didn’t even know she could do it at the time.
She looked down, watching as she placed her hand on Cara’s thigh. Perhaps, it wouldn’t be so bad. She would just have to be careful. And, it’s not like she would ever command Cara to do something dangerous or harmful or anything.
Cara could see the acceptance start to emerge on Kahlan’s face. It would take time for the brunette to fully understand this and Cara would wait patiently for her. But for now, the vampire felt a need to lighten the mood a bit.
“You know, it’s not all bad,” she drawled with a mischievous glint in her eye.
“What do you mean?” Kahlan asked suspiciously.
“Well,” Cara shrugged. “You could always command me to do something… pleasurable.” Her eyes wandered over Kahlan’s body, hoping Kahlan got the hint.
Kahlan caught on, a tantalizing grin spreading across her face. She smoothly swung a leg over Cara, straddling the vampire. “So…” she placed her hands on Cara’s shoulders. “If I were to order you between my legs, you’d have no choice?” She asked, breathlessly.
“Mm. Nope.” Cara gripped Kahlan’s hips, caressing her sides. “But in all honesty, you would never have to command me to do that.”
Kahlan leaned down. “Well, then, what’s the fun in that?” She breathed against Cara’s lips.
Cara growled, “I’ll show you.” She took Kahlan’s lips. Impatiently plunging her tongue deep into Kahlan’s mouth. A taste of what she planned to do to Kahlan elsewhere.
Kahlan moaned deep in her chest, her hips were already rolling against Cara. She couldn’t believe how wet she already was. Cara was practically fucking Kahlan’s mouth with her tongue and it sent sparks of pleasure straight down between her legs.
Cara removed her lips only to kiss down Kahlan’s neck. She tongued the two puncture wounds she had left there, almost completely healed by now. Cara wanted to renew them but thought better of it. She would wait till she knew more about what Kahlan was first.
So instead, Cara continued down. Kissing a collarbone, sucking on the top swell of Kahlan left breast. She sucked a hardened nipple through the thin material of Kahlan’s night shirt, biting softly but enough to give a sting.
Kahlan’s head threw back and she arched into Cara’s mouth, groaning obscenely. Cara ravished her breasts through her shirt, alternating so that each got the same amount of attention.
Just when Kahlan was at the point of actually considering using the bond to command Cara between her thighs, the vampire’s grip on her hips tighten slightly and Kahlan was spun around. She was now half sitting on the couch and Cara was kneeling on the floor between her legs. It happened so fast, it gave Kahlan a case of vertigo. Which did nothing to help her already oxygen-deprived brain.
Cara wrenched Kahlan’s pajama bottoms off, along with her panties and pulled Kahlan till her ass was on the edge of the couch. Cara’s nostrils flared at the unobstructed scent of Kahlan’s arousal.
Kahlan wanted to say they needed to move to the bedroom, in case her roommate were to come home. But she was far too gone by now. With the way Cara was looking at her sex, she didn’t think the vampire would listen anyways.
Kahlan couldn’t stop her hips from gyrating even if she wanted to. Her thighs trembled. Her chest was heaving. She nearly jumped out of her skin when Cara grabbed hold of her inner thighs and pushed them apart, lifting them so that her feet were placed on the edge of the sofa beside her. She was completely opened to Cara’s hungry gaze. She could feel herself dripping. She was going to have to clean the couch later.
Not that she gave a damn about that right now.
Cara was salivating. She took a moment to enjoy the sight of Kahlan’s quivering pussy, memorizing every fold by sight before she dove in to memorize it by feel and taste.
Kahlan cried out, “Oh fuck, Cara!” as soon as she felt the blonde’s tongue swipe at her, her hips bucking hard against the vampire’s face. Cara feasted on her. Her tongue exploring every fold before licking her way back to Kahlan’s throbbing clit, teasing her with short flicks. Kahlan begged with her hand in Cara’s hair, pressing down, needing more. Cara finally wrapped her lips around the nub, sucking hard while still flicking with her tongue in rhythm.
Kahlan tightened her grip on the blonde’s hair, her hips pumping against Cara’s face. Her other hand came up to squeeze at her breast of it’s own accord. She had no control of herself now, just riding along with the pure pleasure of Cara’s mouth.
Cara couldn’t get enough of Kahlan’s taste, she kept her eyes closed, savoring this flavor. And now she needed more. She let go off the clit between her lips to slide her tongue down to Kahlan’s opening, teasing it.
Kahlan thrust upwards, trying desperately to feel that thick, wet muscle inside her. “Yes! Mmm… please, Cara…”
Cara felt herself smile a little against Kahlan. She loved how eager the brunette was. She reached up with both hands to grab Kahlan’s thighs, pushing her open even more, then plunged deeply into the tight hole.
“Cara!” Kahlan pressed the back of the vampire’s head, forcing Cara deeper into her sex. Cara was fucking her with that tongue so fast… it wasn’t possible. Well, not for a human, anyways. Kahlan tried to keep up, rolling her hips against the vampire’s mouth and tongue. She felt herself squeezing and clenching and releasing her inner muscles and was powerless to stop it. Not that she wanted to.
Cara let go of one of Kahlan’s thighs to press her thumb against Kahlan’s clit, rubbing fast circles on it. She needed Kahlan to come. Needed her to fill her mouth.
Kahlan felt the tendrils of her orgasm curl inside her belly, the muscles in her thighs quaking. She wouldn’t last much longer, and as soon as the thought entered her head, she broke. Her whole body arched up for a split second before crashing back down, quivering with each wave that surged throughout her body originating from her pussy and Cara’s tongue. She couldn’t even form Cara’s name to shout it out.
Cara moaned loudly as Kahlan flooded her mouth. She couldn’t decide which she loved better, Kahlan’s blood or her come. She swallowed everything she could. Everything Kahlan gave her.
When Kahlan finally stopped shaking, Cara reluctantly pulled out of her. She softly cleaned Kahlan with her tongue, wanting every drop she could find. After what seemed like forever and not long enough, Cara leaned up to place a gentle kiss on Kahlan’s lower belly, just above the soft curly hair there. She looked up at the brunette’s face and chuckled quietly.
Kahlan was asleep.
Or more like passed out, Cara thought.
Cara shook her head with a bemused smile. She stood up and, as gently as she could, she picked Kahlan up. Placing Kahlan’s head on her shoulder, she carried the sleeping woman to her bedroom, placing her carefully under the blankets. The ache between Cara’s legs had abated some at the peaceful look on the brunette’s face and she would be alright, but that didn’t stop her from leaning over Kahlan and whispering, “You owe me.” with a smile on her lips.
Cara stood back up and debated with herself. There was still a good four hours before sunrise and she had already fed when she returned back into town earlier.
She was in no rush.
Cara shed her clothing and slipped into bed behind Kahlan, wrapping the other woman in her arms. She would have to be gone before the sun came up but for now, she would stay with Kahlan.
For as long as she could.
And onward to
part 6.
