HW help: Project Manager Interview

 Hey, folks. Sorry I've not posted in a while. Here's an update.

Moved in, got settled, have a guest bed now set up (small one), got things all over the place, looking into what I don't have and what I do. Relationship aftermath hasn't begun yet for some reason not in my hands, and I'm completely not sure what to do about the other half of this ( Read more... )

But you've had experience before, right? I've looked at your resume, and can only guess that you were a manager of some project you were working on at one point in time. I'll use you as a last resort, since the assignment says "Preferably someone you're not related to or don't know very well."

I was a technical lead, which is rather different -- it's a hands-on programming job and isn't considered part of management. Think "master carpenter" vs. "shop foreman". On the other hand, that may be more like what they're after.

I was actually a manager for six months at Zilog -- that's how I learned that I didn't like it.
