I'd say "booze up and riot", but I'm not sure if that's allowed in Turkey. But if it is, at least a little tradition should be nice, no? Eh... probably just stick to the boozing part, they prolly wouldn't like any rioting. ;) --~^..^~
I think it's rather tragic that the place that originated "Turkish Coffee" seems to live on Nescafe and chai. As someone who is a bit of a coffee addict this made traveling a nightmare. But in other news, the Turkish bus systems are AWESOME and cheap. It cost us 60 Turkish lira (I think) to get from Silope to Marsin. Apparently to get the whole way across the country it only costs 80. Win!
We were noticing that: Nescafe is EVERYWHERE. What the hell? What kind of demonic contract did they sign to overwhelm some of the awesomest coffee this side of caffeine addiction?
Damned if I know, and the worst thing is that they make it so weak. We ended up carrying an extra thing of it with us to surreptitiously add when the waiter left.
