Is the killing you part that he didn't actually die? Cause sometimes I feel like that in canon. Like just when Jesse is ready to go, leave town or even just die, something happens and he lives or stays right where he is but he suffers for living and staying. Of course there's usually a silver lining to Jesse's living but overall every time it happens the bad seems to outweigh the good.

yes, he longs for peace so desperately, and yet of course I want to save him, just as Mike does when he tricks him. It may be something J is grateful for, or it may be a mistake.

Yeah, well this should be the end of this 'verse (I have a tendency to go back and add) but this looks pretty complete to me. I don't think it's a definitive happy ending. Like yeah, he's alive and with Mike but there's a lot that can go wrong after this. Of course, it's Sunday and I'm anticipating Vince Gilligan will rip my heart to shreds so on days like this I can pretend Jesse found a completely peaceful life in this AU :P
