...it might be kinda twisted... but I'm a little relieved. That the offer to torture the kids was shot down. I feel better knowing whatever is going to happen, I'm going to experience it too.

Nothing exactly the same, but similar. Often, overhearing a call is a prelude to something negative happening, although in this case, it wasn't the turkey that they will blame us for; but not saying why we're thankful to them.

How long does it take for things to happen after the call then?

What happened last time we overheard a call?

It varies, but can be very quick. Likely within 24 hours.

And I can't quite recall what happened last time... I think that may have been back when the Dairy incidents happened though... and we had a bunch of people killing others for their powers back.
