The South Dakota thang

Normally I am one to simply stand by and observe. The stars must be aligned oddly tonight, because I actually went through the trouble of composing and sending an email to SD's governer. ( Dear Person With No Womb; )

I think that was very well written. As a pro-life supporter I disagree with abortion, but the government has no right to impose themselves on the lives of the people like that. There needs to be a vote, and if they vote to make abortions illegal or legal, than so be it.
On a personal note, I think that any anti-abortion law needs to take into exception dangerous pregnancies, rape, and incest. No woman needs to live (or die) with those.

The thing about abortion is that it's going to happen no matter what. It's just a question of whether it's done in privacy, pushing through protesters in a clinic, or in a bedroom for $2000 by a non doctor with a clothes hanger. I'm in favor of the lives of these women.

I also hope that as a person who says they are against abortion that you plan on adopting at least one non-white American Baby, preferably one that has HIV, is addicted to drugs, or is sick or retarded. Because I'm fine with people who are against abortion, as long as they are part of the solution.

Funny you should mention that because I am more interested in adopting children than having my own, and I am not by any means racial in my decisions on which child I would adopt.
Abortion doesn't need to take place the way that it used to have to. There are things such as the morning after pill (which I am not opposed to) and plenty of free contraceptives. I am more opposed to the later term abortions than the early term abortions and feel that if an unwanted pregnancy is discovered, if it is delt with quickly than it is not a problem. For God's sake, the State of California pays for my GYN appointments and birth control because I make no money! I don't pay a damn thing!
I would definatly adopt a drug addicted baby. I also stand by my statement that if a pregnant woman is in danger of her life she should be able to choose whether she wants to have it or not. HIV is a danger to both the woman and the babies health and should therefore be given a choice. And, as I am not opposed to children who are mentally disabled or who are ( ... )

That's good to know. Abortion isn't the ideal solution, but until the problem is solved, it must be legal.

The Right will make you think that there are many late term abortions. But that just isn't true. They make a very very small percentage of abortions, and really only do exist when the health of the mother is threatened. The vast majority of abortions are in the first 2 months.
