雨のDancer

It rained wherever Junhwe went.

It rained wherever he danced, rained wherever he sang, and he got used to it. Got used to the feeling of raindrops on his skin. Got used to stepping on puddles. Got used to the cold, whether in Summer or in Spring. He even started loving the sound of the rain, drowning his voice whenever he sang, complimenting his steps whenever he danced.

The rain was his only friend. The one who'd hide his tears for him. Hide his voice for him. Hide his footsteps for him. The rain was kind and faithful to Junhwe. It followed Junhwe wherever he went.

The rain brought with it, one day, a warm boy called Donghyuk. He was warm in all the ways Junhwe was cold. Soft in all the ways Junhwe was harsh. While Junhwe looks up to the sky to feel the rain, Donghyuk looks up to the sky to feel the sun.

Donghyuk sings softly, because he doesn't have to fight the rain's voice. The sun doesn't have a voice, Donghyuk says. The sun lets you know it cares by enveloping you in a warm hug.

Donghyuk dances roughly, because he doesn't have to be afraid of water puddles. The sun makes everything dry, Donghyuk says. It makes everything warm and dry.

Donghyuk smiles often. He laughs, warm, like the sun. Bright, like the sun. Junhwe sees the sun in Donghyuk. He is Junhwe's sun. The one that makes everything bright and warm.

Junhwe does not fear the dark. It became his friend. Day or night, darkness was always there. It was part of the rain. But Donghyuk feared it the most. Feared that the dark would swallow him whole. The darkness felt cold to Donghyuk, and that scared him.

Junhwe could never touch Donghyuk. Junhwe was too dark, too cold. He could never touch Donghyuk, no matter how much he wanted to. Donghyuk taught him everything about the sun, but Junhwe never once told Donghyuk anything about the rain. The rain will only bring sadness. Pain. Things he can't imagine Donghyuk being. All that Junhwe is, and all that Donghyuk isn't.

"A flower needs the sun to grow," Donghyuk tells Junhwe one day. A flower needs the sun to keep growing taller, towards the light. To maintain its color. To stay alive. A flower loves to bask in the sun. The sun is warm and bright.

"But there will be no flower without rain," Junhwe replied. A flower needs the rain to stay alive as well. It gives the flower food. It plays the same role as the sun.

"And isn't that why we're together? A flower needs both the sun and the rain." Donghyuk said, handing over a daisy to Junhwe.

"And I need you." Donghyuk adds. When their lips touch, a sense of warmth washed over Junhwe. It lingers, leaving Junhwe wanting, longing for more. Donghyuk can only feel the cold. But it was a different sensation that he decided he likes, no, loves.

Opposites attract, they say.

The Earth is cruel, Junhwe muses one day. The rain and the sun rarely meet. The clouds will cover the sun, separating it from the rain. But there are rare days where the sun and the rain can meet. People can feel both the warmth and the coldness of the rain and the sun.

The rain carried away with it, one day, a warm boy called Donghyuk. The sun called for Donghyuk, and the rain called for Junhwe. It separates them cruelly, creates scars on Junhwe's wrist from Donghyuk's nails, creates bruises on Donghyuk's wrists from Junhwe's palm. But in the end, the earth was stronger.

"Maybe one day we'll meet again!" Donghyuk had yelled, as their hand separates, leaving Junhwe alone again for the first time in a while.

Junhwe's tears were no longer of loneliness, but those of yearning. His songs were no longer those of sadness, but those of longing. And his dances were no longer made for one, but made for two.

Sometimes, Junhwe can see a glimpse of Donghyuk under the shades of a platanus tree, radiating warmth. He hopes it still shines wherever Donghyuk went. He hopes Donghyuk still sings of love. Still dances with happiness. Still smiles brightly like the sun he is.

It continued raining wherever Junhwe went.

A/N: This thing was written in 15mins because a pretty Winner x iKON video thingy came out! I am satisfied but I might have missed a few things. Either way I don't really care. I'm trash for Jun/Dong.
