I was going to post today about a hiatus from LJ that I am thinking of taking. I was going to call it a hiatus, but in reality, I was thinking of...you know...just not coming back
( Read more... )
Um, wow. This is not the first time you've posted something so synchronous it gave me goosebumps.
I've been so busy, and so stressed, and juggling so many balls that I stepped away from LJ and most internet connections for several weeks. I only came back at the prodding of a couple of friends, and then I realized how much I miss the... support and general camaraderie.
But yeah - I've often felt that exact way. Everyone on my f-list is accomplishing so much more than I am. I feel... boring and pedestrian by comparison. I feel like I'm spinning my wheels while everyone else zooms by.
Maybe we can sit and spin our wheels together, hey? :}
Good luck with everything, though! May things cool off, calm down and smooth out soon.
Thanks for that second line...it's good to know I'm not alone! : )
I keep thinking that things will "cool off, calm down and smooth out" and they just keep getting wilder and bumpier! But yes, I say it like a mantra: "some day things will be better."
You are totally neither boring nor pedestrian! I mean, you are so great with your horses, and you have the whole farming thing going on (which, after working my 12'x12' plot I think I would drop dead if I was a real farmer) not to mention the whole schooling issue with your children. You are a woman to be reckoned with, and I'd gladly spin my wheels with you any time! : )
:) Life can really throw us some tough ones, at times...but it will pass. Use LJ to lift your spirits, I say -- and those posts which don't, try to ignore. And take breaks -- we'll all still be here when you return (with open arms, to boot).
Whoa, so, like, I just had major problems even managing to clicky on the right thing on your page because, like, instead of a normal thingie that you expect? There's this weirdass CROSSHAIRS thingie on your page. Soooo....I'm having difficulty even clicking a mouse here
( ... )
Thank you, my friend. FWIW, you're one of the reasons that no matter how often I leave, I always come back. And I am embarrassed to admit that I haven't read CPE, so now I have a book for my "to buy" list. Any excuse, really... ; P
Re: the crosshairs, that is this new "format" or whatever the hell it's called that I chose, which also doesn't show me people's subject lines. Do. Not. Like.
Thanks for this response...it was just what I needed today. Not rambling or incoherent at all. Kinda like having coffee wtih a friend.
