4th Sacrifice - Preparations

[Phone | Everyone}

Hello again.

It may be bad time with what Mayfield has done. But I wish for some help.

I am not much of baker, and wish to make large batch of cookies for upcoming holidays and winter solstice. Something for the children to get minds off of what has happened.

Anyone willing to help with this?

[Well how about that. He's walking his bunny, also with a cigarette in hand. The bunny seems to be going a bit slowly, Holland prodding it slightly along with the leash.]

You can't sleep all day.

[Whoever.]

So where are you from?

America. In Chicago recently.

I was alive when America looked something like this, just less like TV show.

[He'll blink a little, curious about why the other is asking.]

. . . it got better.

In America, they took one war and one big bad, and replaced it with another.

But, even then, it was not like this.

It is like, whoever made town only knows what it looked like on TV.

Maybe.

I'd just rather be home, I don't care what it looks like.

I would believe so.

This town is not right for your kind.

It's not right for any kind. . .

[Sigh. He'll set his bunny down when the animals starts fidgeting.]

Keep your dog away.

[He tugs hard on the leash and gives a threatening comment to the dog. Wrapping it up so that it's too short of a leash for the dog to get at the bunny.]

Not problem.

Good luck with existence here. May it treat you better than I fear it will.

I think everyone lucked out, coming here.

[The rabbit goes right back to the clovers.]

But good luck to you too.

You can't have good without bad. It cannot stay bad forever.

[Though it could long past a normal life span.]

Thank you.

[With that, he drags his dog away. Continuing his walk.]

Ja.

[As Czernobog is leaving, though, Netherlands calls to him.]

I think you're right.

When it's good here, I mean, I could feel-

[Normal. Like a human being. Like a husband. . .]

[He pauses, turning to look back to the nation.]

Savor those moments then.

[They'll make the bad seem all the worse, too.

[How well he knows that. . .]

. . .ja.

[He'll look down at his rabbit, then sigh.]
