i revisited this post (more truthfully, i hadn't really read everything) and just wished i could analyse like you do. i just did a media module at school and it's been a depressing time. i thought i did quite well but i thought wrong.

this post reminds me of this site i found recently while i was googling for images of the emerald dress worn by knightley in atonement.

hi cheng, good to hear from you again :) cheer up! media modules are not easy to score, i took one myself in school and for the life of me, was writing nonsense to fill up space in my exam essays. i can only write when i feel strongly about the subject.. i.e. fashion on film. i guess the same should go for you too ;) yes i am into old films currently! it's quite a recent craze. which version of Imitation of Life was that? was it the 1930s one starring claudette colbert? i loved the little kid in there... "don't want to go to heaven, want my quack quack" :D

i do have a list of favourites, here are the old movies i would really love to collect although i've already seen them:
- Desire (1936)
- Gilda (1946)
- Baby Face (Uncut Version) (1933)
- Charade (1963)
- Notorious (1946)
- Mr Deeds Goes to Town (1936)
- Roman Holiday (1953)
- Sorry, Wrong Number (1948)

(i think you can get most of these from youtube or the esplanade library.)

how about you? have you got anymore classic movies you would recommend? clothesonfilm is an interesting
