This story was nearly titled Thermal Underwear Stitch, which would have been 100% artemisiabrisol's fault. Soon I'm going to run out of cutesy knitting-related terminology to use as titles, and then what will I do?

Now I need titles for the Encyclopedia Brown vignettes, the Jessica-figures-it-all-out-from-her-rocking-chair-in-Cabot-Cove story, and the one where I somehow contrive to have Jessica meet Jack O'Neill and blow it all wide open. :)

...and damn you, fandom, that I was immediately provided with a mental image to go with that. o.O

artemisiabrisol and I kept finding other disturbing ones, like "open twisted rib," that would do if the Sweater 'Verse were a lot more angsty than it is. Like, Jessica Fletcher does H.P. Lovecraft.
