Casting On | NC-17 | ~21,000 words

This follows Knitted Goods, which is very short and very fluffy, just like Rodney's comfort sweater.

This particular story is also fluffy, but in no way short, and notable in that it actually contains actual sex. (HA.) Blame Thanks for this go to mik100, who dared me, artemisiabrisol, who did the full-body beta, and to the brave ( Read more... )

In my head, she made that fruit into a pie for an ancient and cantankerous Seth Hazlitt. :D

I love this SO MUCH. I love love love how gentle the whole story is-and especially the sort of quiet, inevitable way John and Rodney come together. It has instantly become one of my comfort fics, like Rodney's comfort sweater. And I commend you that I have NO trouble suspending disbelief-it seems utterly natural and obvious that Jessica Fletcher is Rodney's aunt. Of course she is! (You're even making me want to go watch old Murder, She Wrote episodes.) Such a feel-good story, and if you write more in this 'verse, I will be first in line to read it. :D

Hee, I'm so glad! The roomie and I keep watching episodes on DVD and noticing new things. "Look how she just conned that guy into asking her out!" "Look, look! All you have to do to get her to do something is question her ability to do something!" There's a series-of-vignettes story percolating in my head where ten-year-old Meredith wanders 'round Cabot Cove with his Aunt Jess, helping her solve little mysteries like Encyclopedia Brown. ^.^

Oh, I want to read those stories.

I liked this one too. CanonRodney needs better relatives. (I've never liked Jeannie.) A brilliant great-aunt is perfect for him.

Marvelous! I've always had a soft spot for Jessica Fletcher, and I can totally see her corralling Rodney and John that way. (And the sex was quite nice.) Silly boys, good thing JB Fletcher was there to knock some sense into them.

Hee. It's hard not to love her, even though she is a nosy old biddy. Corralling is what she does. :)
