I know a lot of you use Gimp rather than Photoshop and sing its praises often - after all, it's free. Hurrah. I, myself, learned Photoshop, way back in film school, and have kept using it. Recently I even acquired a legal version (O.O ( Read more... )

Generic Image Manipulation Program. Sort of a freeware version of Photoshop, in the way that water is a freeware version of vodka.

I'm very confused. Filling an area with a gradient took eleven steps and ten minutes? It took me 5 steps and 30 seconds. Open GIMP, create file of appropriate size, select Gradient Fill tool, select appropriate gradient, click and drag, there you go.

I got the Master Collection last year at the Educational price through our company, and I haven't used half of it yet. I mean, I don't even know what a lot of it does. o.O

CS4, complete with half a dozen programs bought off other companies that were not included with CS3, so I'm still poking around six months later. :)
