You started Toastmasters? That's pretty cool. The night I joined, others started asking when I was going to do my Ice Breaker speech, and I just rolled with it.

I think they take a break for the summer in June or July, I'd like to get my 6 speeches done for by the time we break. Then I can start to do evaluations, I think I will learn a lot from that process.

I am trying to enjoy it, even though work is busy as well. Somedays it seems overwhelming. :)

I think I lucked out by stumbling into an awesome group right off. There are other folks who visited a number of other toastmasters groups and they seemed to lack the positive, supportive and happy atmosphere this one does.

You can be a guest at a toastmasters group 3 times without having to join, if you are curious, I would recommend looking up a group and popping in. I'm surprised how much I am enjoying it. You learn a lot from the speaches and you can interact as much or as little as you like.
