(1) Those of you who have heard me talk about the annual Popcorn Festival in my hometown (the Saturday after Labor Day)? This year's headline band is the Spin Doctors. I am so there! (etrace isn't impressed, but hey, he wasn't going to get within 10 miles of the Fest anyway.)

(2) Robert Downey Jr. started a legit personal Twitter feed back in April.

Finally saw the Red Wedding?

Yup! Knew it was coming, of course, but interested to finally see it. Which means I'd seen the Purple Wedding much earlier. Also, since I'm rereading the books now, trying to keep approx the same pace, it was extra interesting to remember how close together the two incidents were (they'd originally felt much farther apart on the first reading).

Also, every time someone says "Red Viper," I now think Red Pepper of Dorne. :-)

I hope he is in a happier place now--I know he had some demons he was battling with and those can wear you down after awhile...
