This wouldn't surprise me: your stock in trade has been information presentation for years. What is a program, other than lines of code, organized in such a way that the computing device can discretely retrieve relevant pieces of information, and follow instructions to produce a desired result? You have a highly developed sense of hierarchy.

Programming isn't organizing information, programming is organizing process. The two may have some overlap but they're very different things. (I do agree that chanaleh should try more programming)

That's kind of how I got into programming at all. :) I think taking a basic Java class or something could only help you.

Should you decide to change careers, apparently iOS programmers are hugely in demand. This was a common thread among my friends in San Francisco, several of whom are trying to hire such programmers.
