Killing someone has it's price...

"But, Kennedy, when you think about it, you really aren't done. The best part is watching him contort and then seeing that look in his eyes when he knows that his last breath is coming."I rolled my eyes and just looked away, hearing the noises of Kershaw slowly dying. I felt- I felt horrible. I felt this void every time I heard him take in a ( Read more... )

I could see something in Kennedy that I didn't like. I could see a humn side to her, but what could I expect? I had been the same way and hell, I still had ounces of compassion left in me, but I had burned so many times, that I just let it teflon off of me at this point, but Kennedy was new to this and I didn't fear it.

The ride over to the address that I had been given by Wells came to us within twenty minutes, and here we were.

I was contemplating how I wanted to play this. Leonardo was going to be stronger then Kennedy and I knew that Drusilla could probably best me, although I would be willing to take that chance if it came to it.

"I think we have to resolve that now, before we go in. Fighting them, because that necklace should be ours isn't wise. I doubt that we would win. Leonardo may be the strongest being on the planet with that necklace on. Besides, what would we do with the necklace? Give it to another vampire? Maybe, we could convince them to join our team? I have dealt with Drusilla in the past."

"Or I could have the necklace?" I said with a wink as I adjusted my jacket and tapped my foot, waiting for him to make up his mind.

"We'll play it by ear. I'll be nice and knock on the door, does that sound good?" I nudged him forward and we walked up to the door, which was a pretty fancy door. Looked like it had gold in it, which was pretty eye catching.

"Well, they chose a nice place! So, we knocking or breaking?"

"We might as well knock. If we break in, then we immediately have them hostile and if what I have heard about this necklace is true, then we don't want Leonardo hostile."

I knew that he had already killed Gwen. Or more to the point, they, he and Drusilla had tortured the girl and then sired her, and she and Angel had stayed up together and she had let the sunlight, the western exposure do her in. There was nothing like geting reliable intel, the kind that Kershaw had failed to provide time and time again.

"Then again, he might appreciate our walk in and ask questions later approch, bsides, I don't think Drusilla will mind seeing me, at all."

I really didn't know what to expect, we could have ben walking into a deathtrap, and when Kennedy opened the door and we saw a dead body on the floor, it wasn't exactly the best omen, but Kennedy was strong.

We could be reasonable with them and we shared a common enemy, or enemies. Angel and the slayers.

I whispered. "Leonardo could definitely take out one of the slayers."

I shrugged and opened the door and what do I see right off the bat? A dead body.

"Nice..." I muttered as we walked passed the body and I looked to all the areas I thought they could be hiding. Nothing.

Leonardo could definitely take out one of the slayers."

"Well, seems we may have to talk with them!" I whispered back and stopped, hearing a noise.

"ANYBODY HERE?!" I yelled out into the dark mansion.

I laughed at Lindsey. So he had been the little busy bee who had made little boy Connor all crazy. Kept Daddy on his toes and away from us and the necklace. Still... I wasn't done playing with him and Cordelia... the seer. It was really not fair. But, when it came to suffering, it was always fun to watch Angel suffer. He could really get whiny at times... made me giggle.

"Isn't it ironic Drusilla, how you and I are really responsible for Connor?"

My eyes were focusing on him now. If they hadn’t called me that I would have never known how sick Darla really was. A sickness that spread through her veins and made her hear beat... so loud like a drum. I nodded and gave him a wicked smile.

"So, it was you, Lindsey that made Drusilla's BROTHER angered like he is now, and what is this nonsense about the two of you being responsible for her BROTHER, this Connor, being alive?"Oh yes, yes... yes. In deed it was his doing, his and the little girl that stood in the room. It almost made me giggle the way he emphasized the word ' ( ... )
