GOSH CHAMO YOU ARE SO AMAZING i love your style and your characters, theyre so finely detailed and just FUN to look at. your comics and city drawing is super tight too, its looks SO great
If my eyes were thirsty then now they've been quenched! Your use of black in that new page works so well, it reads nicely whilst still having our usual level of detail.
ON your Japan trip, I'm guessing you'll be in Tokyo most of the time? If you want cool toys, go to Nakano Broadway, and if you want cheap comics, you HAVE to go to a Book-Off (they're around the place, but there's one near NB too). Make sure you go to a 100yen store, and the Ghibli Museum at least once. Go to the disaster prevention place to have a go on earthquake and typhoon simulations, and generally meet locals who can show you the best places! And definitely leave Tokyo at least once, there's some great places to see in the mountains (I think I went to Sawanoi so see a Sake Brewery, and climbed Kintokiyama). Oh yeah! Definitely try out an Onsen whilst you're there. They're awesome!
Once you go to Japan, Final Fantasy and every other piece of Japanese visual fiction will make sense. You'll see all the influences!
I was never really gone. Just working hard on colouring 120+ pages having a 9-5 and then working on comics and drawing means I have less time. But I guess that's what it takes to do something you love and want totake it to another level.
Good to see you're back! I received my order and your extras, they're AWESOME! I'm hooked, keep up the great work, not that you need extra motivation. That RP work is fantastic! Can't wait to read more!
Bought Tuk Tuk at Cardiff Comic Expo today. Just read it and I love it. I already knew that I loved the look but the story is awesome too. Is there a newsletter or something to sign up to so I know when the second issue is out?
