For the love of bagels, someone out there has to own Resident Evil 2. It's been killing me that the copy I borrowed from someone is too scratched to work, as it's right in front of me, yet I cannot play it. I really want to play it through, but I'm not spending 25-or-so dollars on such an old game, especially after just getting the first Silent

What the...is Silent Hill a game?? I this another game-turned-movie??

Oh, yes. A while back, Jing introduced me to Silent Hill 2, and I played it through and really enjoyed it. I beat it a few times, and even played through it with Matt and Zack. Then the third and fourth games came out, and Matt and Zack who were interested in the series saw those games through with me as well.

Then we hear about the movie, and of course I get real skeptical at first, but after reading some articles, it seems the people in charge really want this to work. Rather than have a zombie-killing fest, they want to explore the story and mythology of the game, so I can be at least a little optomistic.

Of course, the movie is mostly based on the first game, the one we hadn't seen. So Jing got it on ebay and while Zack was in for break I ran up to Rutgers with him where we got Matt and went to Jing's dorm, and ran through the game, so we could be that much more ready for the movie. I'm sure it'll be fine without ever playing any, but since we had played the others, I felt it was important to head back to the start.
