I guess it's better to find out now as opposed to finding out when it collapses. Man, I bet this will throw a huge monkeywrench into the calculations that went into sizing the building in the first place. I smell an unemployed engineer/site inspector.

Is this adjacent to the MGM Grand, and is it located in back where the theme park used to be?

That building is on the other side of the strip from the MGM and down a bit - roughly opposite Planet Hollywood (ex-Aladdin).

Yikes, how does that get missed! I can't imagine the lawsuits that will be flying over this one.

See in America, they stop building or start over when they find this kind of thing out. In China... they may just add a few extra floors to the original 49 for good measure.
