Being disabled medical advancements are very exciting to me, not only those that deal with MD but medical advancements in general. I completely agree, since I also have MD. I've never been quite sure where embryonic stem cells come from, in regards to the actual source. I mean, from aborted fetuses, or still born babies, or the umbilical cords of newborn babies? (No one has ever been able to answer this for me; I suppose I should stop being lazy and Google.) I know that the US government limits the research and there are few actual stem cells with which to work, so I wonder if there should be a way that sources for embryonic stem cells could be donated to science and research? That probably sounds cold, but I can't help thinking, as you said, that realised life is more valuable (or at least as valuable) as potential life. And besides, the benefits of stem cell research will eventually impact all potential life.
