Heh. Still, I let my guard down far more than I should have. I guess I hadn't gotten a full grasp of my limitations before then...

As it is, though, I don't think I would have been satisfied had I not seen first hand what we were dealing with.

Correct.

I had attempted to bring Alicia Testarossa into custody, but Robotnik ambushed us. It appeared he had been seeking the girl himself, for whatever reason.

That's rather ominous.

But then again, he could have easily just been using her and the whole shebang to make a point.

Either one is certainly a possibility. But, you would know better than I when it comes to this particular enemy.

From what I heard, you did quite well, fighting past injury and even bringing your partner to a higher level of evolution. I was more than a little out of it, but it sounded impressive, anyhow.

Heheheh... thanks! But, I had to do what needed to be done, and that was protecting you and the rest of my friends!

And that went double with Robotnik's ambush group, seeing as at least two of those there were more than willing to go all out and attack both friend and foe alike...!
