Gutted.

I know I didn't know him. But Avon was the first man I fell in love with 39 years ago and that's never wavered. I never did meet him. I don't know if I regret that or not, with the whole never meet your heroes thing.

I thought of you when I heard the news. RIP. He was a truly compelling actor and Avon was a great character who really made that show.
