[Roxas wasn't dressed for the pool; he hadn't bothered getting more than two sets of clothes since he'd arrived. What was the point? They all wanted out of here last he'd checked. Getting too comfortable didn't make sense. But the sunset was nice, and he probably needed to get out more. He didn't want to stay in the cabin with Marluxia any more than he had to.
He was just nearing the pool when he heard the splash and looked up to see someone falling into the water--and it didn't look like it had been on purpose.] Hey! [Didn't look like they could swim, either. Without thinking, he took a breath and jumped in, trying to boost them towards the surface.
Apparently, he could swim. And rather well. Not that he had time to think about how much that didn't make sense.]
[No matter how much she wriggled and thrashed and strained towards the light, she never seemed to get any closer. It only seemed to get further and further away, the more she tried to reach it. She'd managed one half-gasp of air, but it was quickly running out. Her lungs burned, her chest twisting with something akin to panic.]
[And then suddenly a blurred shape broke the surface of the water, and the next thing she knew someone was holding on to her and the surface was getting closer and closer until--]
[Air. She gasped and sputtered and coughed, breathing in to rescue her desperate, straining lungs.]
[Naminé was vaguely aware that the voice asking her if she was okay was familiar, but her eyes were so blurred and her breath so loud in her ears that she was having trouble focusing long enough to place either the voice or the face. Still, she rasped out an,] I-I'm okay!
