There must be some sort of code about Grandmothers in Canonsburg -- Grandma Margaret was frickin' awesome!

Dad's family has been in Canonsburg since his grandparents' day -- before that the family was in the same Slovenian village for centuries, apparently.

* I am feeling old today. I am not, therefore, certain how I feel about this comparison. But being Polish-American in the largest share myself, I am pretty certain I could duplicate some of anyone's Eastern European granny's high-fat recipes. I'm not sure why, but I could.
