Okay, I lied. I'm actually posting the first real assignment today. ^o^

From Assignment #1, I derived that, as expected, constellations are obviously the most anticipated aspect of this course, so by popular demand, constellations will be the topic of our first real assignment.

Constellations, when delved into thoroughly, can be a very complex ( Read more... )

Excellent! One small problem though; technically, your Cepheus isn't entirely correct. I'll be sure to show everyone what I was looking for when I make a post saying that points are up. However, I'll be nice. Since it seems like quite a few people had this problem, I'll only deduct three points. And both bonus questions are correct; good job! Keep up the good work!

Absolutely perfect! And since you pointed out to me that the Big Dipper is indeed an asterism, not a constellation, I'm awarding five additional points toward your House.

Not bad. Two problems though - your Cepheus wasn't entirely correct, but I'll be sure to show everyone what I wanted when I make the post that points are up. Since several people seemed to have this problem I'll only deduct three points. Also, your Ursa Major isn't correct. You submitted only the Big Dipper, which is only an asterism included in the actual constellation of Ursa Major. However, since you did technically send me half of the constellation, I'll award you half credit. Both answers to the Bonus Questions are correct, and you were the only one to get Leaps of the Gazelle. Good job!

52 points to Gryffindor.

Perfect! You were one of the few to send in the correct version of Cepheus, and both answers to the Bonus Questions were correct. Excellent job!
