I am now posting my first public entry in this journal. I have enjoyed reading the stories from the writing communities so much but I have never ventured into the fiction realm. I'm not sure I want or need to go in that direction, but we'll see. The best parts so far have been getting to read lots of fun stories and some very nice conversations ( Read more... )

I'm such a dweeb - I don't have notification turned on when people comment on my entries and I've just noticed this morning that you left a comment on a story a month ago (I'm so lame!) Anyway, if you're still interested, I'm friending you and will hope you friend back :)

Thanks so much for replying. I can't remember what I said to you, but I remember very well how much I loved your writing and your review comments to other writers. I've missed seeing your writing recently. I've been following metamorfic_moon, which has had some really fun approaches to prompts. Are you still writing? Are you posting to other communities? I'm still very new at LJ stuff and have been distracted by the small area I know. Anyway, I'd love to keep reading your stories. I think I friended you back when I got notice about your "friending". Thanks so much.

Hi there! I noticed you friended me, and we both like Sam the Storyteller's work (therefore we both have good taste ;)), so I am friending you back! Nice to meet you! I'm Lauren. :D

Hi there! ch_arrie June 10 2007, 11:37:14 UTC
Thanks so much for commenting here. I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to you before now...I'm a teacher and that week was the last week of school. I did nothing else but try to get paperwork done and end of the year gifts for the kindergarteners ready. But I'm thrilled to hear that you love contra dancing and singing. Two things that make life worth while! I also love English country dance...think of the dance sequences in the Jane Austen movies (Austen is another love of mine!)

I've really been enjoying your journal! It's just beautiful, as well as fun to read. I'm going to get over my fear of sounding stupid and start writing in mine this summer.

Again, thanks for commenting.

Hi again! No worries about a delayed reply! I completely understand about school keeping you busy. I work full-time as well, and sometimes it's hard for me to keep up with LJ. I'm thrilled to hear that you are a teacher, and especially a teacher of kindergarteners. I can think of no more important job in the world. I really mean that ( ... )

I cannot believe you lived (and danced) in Winston-Salem! We lived there many years ago and started contra dancing with the Fiddle and Bow Country Dancers. Some of the best friends of our lives we made there. It was a magic time in our lives...the first time we had lived so far away from our families. It really felt like we were reinventing ourselves and discovering so many fun things. Winston is so full of art, music and dance...all the things we love ( ... )
