This was amazing.

Though the flow of time in this slightly confused me initially, once I reread it I was able to follow along more easily.

I adore your writing style in this. I particularly love how you combine the prompt of "comfort" with the darker theme of hurt, and how you make all of the interactions and emotions so... believable. The "final goodbye" at the end along with the last 3 sentences actually made my chest ache. :'<
