It usually takes us about 4 - 4.5 hours to get through things, but that's with time stopping to stretch, get munchies, and other stuff along the way (today we ended up sitting on a floating dock, chatting and listening to the water).
When we're really focused on walking, it's about a 16.5 - 17 minute mile. It's more the distance and scenery than the speed.
We walk most weekends. I DO want you to meet my friend Dave at some point, even if it's just to get a beer. He speaks German and I've told him about you.
Next weekend I won't be walking because Cynthia and I have plans.
We walk along Horseshoe Trails at Grapevine Lake. With the mileage we do, Cynthia usually stays home, but we'd be game to meet you, Tatiana, and your dog at Trinity Park, or someplace else. (Well, I'm ASSUMING Cynthia would be up for a walk with the Mighty ChrisWicke! ;) )
Trinity Park is good. There's also some pretty nice trails not too far away at the Nature Preserve (I forget what it's called.)
I don't know for a fact that I could do 13 miles, but I suspect we'd be up for it. With stop for munchies and water for the dog, I think it'd be a good thing for all of us.

How long does it take you to walk the 13.5 miles? 3 hours? I hadn't done that math before. I'm duly impressed.
The next time you go on one of these walks, let me know. Tatiana and I, and our dog, might want to come along!
and three, where do you go?
