A Nice Evening

Went to youngraven's birthday party last night. Parties there are alwasy nice because we get to see youngraven and shaddowshoes, of course, and typsygypsy and toarthos.

darthcynthia and I were the first to arrive and shaddowshoes, having read about my adventure in car headlights yesterday, immediately offered to fix the retaining mechanism on my headlight

I really need to change the oil in my car. The driveway looks so uninviting with a few feet of snow on it. Urgh.

Yeah, snow is always a problem in Texas, too :)

There are times I miss the snow up there, but if I have to commute, I'll stay down here.

If I ever make it writing, though, and can head out on my terms, it's back up north in a heartbeat.

Cynthia's never seen real snow. That's such a weird concept to me...

Man, I had four feet drifts in my drive a few times this winter. I had plans to move to the UP of Michigan in the future, but I get less tolerant of snow the older I get.

I've thought about the upper peninsula or northern Wisconsin. Or moving back north of Chicago. Cynthia's open to those areas, and she's also thought Maine or New Hampshire or Vermont would be nifty.

But not anytime soon. Even taking the train into Chicago, commuting in snow sucks!

Heh, when you rang the doorbell I had just read your entry and thought to myself that I'd take care of that headlight when you got here cause I know exactly what it's like when your hands are don't fit in the area that you need to work. :) Sometimes even my hands are too big.
So, I'm glad I could be of help.

Axis and Allies... yup! Gotta figure out when to do that.... Suggestions?

You've mentioned Mondays and Wednesdays being good times. Mondays, Cynthia geeks out of Star Trek Enterprise all night, so Wednesdays are probably better.

Not sure if this Wednesday or the following Wednesday are better...I'll have to check with Cynthia and get back with ya.

Well, we're in the run down to NTIF so this week is out. Next week, have to call that one by ear. But yeah, Mondays and Wednesdays are best. :)

Hahaha redeemed manliness! It took my brother and my cousin 20 min to install "easy to install" wipers. Car stuff can be so tricky.

Cynthia figured out the "easy to install wipers" a few weeks ago.

When it comes to any gadget, or thing requiring reading the instructions, Cynthia reads and I watch and learn :)
