I love this so much! You have an amazing way of getting into Jeff's head and expressing what he feels. Thanks for writing this. It definitely happened this way. :)

I'd like to add a disclaimer that I wish things didn't have to be so sad before they can get to a happy place. It's a sitcom after all! But given where the show left things, I felt the need to explore Jeff's state of mind. I'm happy that it came across well!

I know what you mean. There's a certain formula you come to expect from a sitcom! But Community did break boundaries in many ways and was always its own kind of show so I can mostly forgive it. I know those needs so I'm very glad you did it. :)

Yeah, I hear you. I guess I would've been happier with it if they'd given us a little more resolution though. I understand what Dan said about it being "hopeful for the future" and the ending definitely was that. But I would've preferred something more concrete after waiting through six seasons haha.

It also bothered me that they didn't address Jeff's drinking. I don't see how he'll magically be ok just because of his realization in the finale that it's something he's "equipped to handle now."

Oh well... I know it's a long shot, but I'll keep dreaming about the movie that will finally put them together in canon :-D
