I am at a loss for words.. I've never really been good with comforting with words, so I guess I don't really have the right words to say to you.
I feel your pain, bud. And I know it sucks big time. The pain won't go away, though it will subside to a dull throb, with time. But there's a small consolation in this - you stayed with him till the end, as a good friend, and helped him as best as you could when he needed it.
For someone not good with words, that was pretty good! It took me awhile to write this and in that time, some healing has taken place, so I'm on my way.. Thanks for the support
I am sorry for the loss of your friend. You did everything you could, and to try so hard and do so much, and have it not be the outcome you hoped for. That is doubly tough.
I knew Bill as well. I never knew the exact story of what happened until now. Thank you for being there for him Craig. He was a awesome man. I enjoyed many conversations with him through the years that I knew him. I sit here a year later reading your post sobbing at my desk. We lose friends and it is painful one year or many years later. I am thankful for the memories. I can hear his voice so clearly and see his smile. Thanks for this story Craig. A toast to Bill...such a sweet man.

If you need to talk any time, just let me know.
Hugs to you..
