it's not ringworm is it?

http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/tc/ringworm-of-the-skin-topic-overview

an anti-fungal cream could help with that...

ive never heard of that being from antibiotics but i suppose it could very well be...

to quote from the site "Ringworm of the hand looks like athlete's foot. The skin on the palm of the hand gets thick, dry, and scaly, while skin between the fingers may be moist and have open sores."

I've just got bumps - like goosebumps. Tho I have only had it a couple of days...

Tho if the above happens I'll definitely know what I've got, then. Thanks!

If it's spreading with a vengeance, is there any way you can scrape together the money to get to a doctor faster? This certainly sounds well out of a pharmacist's area, and may require referral to a dermatologist.

My mother's been on high strength antibiotics for twenty years and hasn't experienced this, though that's not really very much help. (It's buggered up her digestion, on the other hand.)

It's a nuisance, but it's not *really nasty*. It's not red, or purulent, or with broken skin or anything. Just looks like goosebumps that are a little bit red ( ... )

Have you investigated 'discoid eczema'?

My mother gets this too and it's nothing at all to do with fungal infections. When you described the 'ring' shape, I had a 'ta-da' moment"!

If your doctor hasn't heard of it, tell him. It's likely you need to be on eczema treatments, not anti-fungals.

I've talked to my dr on the phone (too sick to see him for this - it's not major enough, plus I have no money to get there)

He thinks it's stress!

Rash spread up my arms to inner elbows, and on my chest now as well.

I've lost a court case, had $1100 stolen from my paypal account (I got it back), had the kitchen light blow and had to get a man in to fix it, and had my fridge fail (so now there is food all over the place, slowly going off - that which I haven't thrown out already) - so I guess I've had a bit of a stressful week.

Odd tho - I'm 38 and been under plenty of stress before - never gotten a rash before. I usually loose my voice when I'm stressed.

Maybe the stress just gave a bit of extra oomph to whatever's causing the rash? There's a difference between stress causing a pre-existing condition to flare up, and stress causing the condition.

Absolutely true!

I had a pustulating rash with dark red background on my inner thigh just a month ago for a couple of weeks - but I wasn't worried about that coz I knew what caused it (pus from abcesses getting onto clean skin - when they drain slowly and constantly and there are multiple abcesses it's hard to keep the skin clean even cleaning mutiple times a day with hydrogen pyroxide).
This rash now, even tho it's now on mt chest and legs, is a lot less 'uerky' - but it's a new one on me. Hence the questions.
