Ugh! Better the cats are with you than with that waste of space and even bigger waste of sperm donor. I'd be more worried for them if she wanted them back in that situation. I feel bad for the impending kid, though.

I think it's less about the cats vs kids as it is about noncommittal, shitty pet owners. Because let's face it, cats are not a *HUGE* expense as far as pets go, barring any massive health issues, and she obviously could accommodate them if she wanted to
