What are scotch eggs?

BBQ pork in a doughnut sounds much like Chinese pork buns (superficially) which are FREAKING DELICIOUS and I'm so sad my local Chinese place doesn't have them or I would be there every day. ... Unless it's actually like a DOUGHNUT and not some other sort of bread-dough?

You're a braver woman than I am: just reading about that deep-fried stuff is making my heart twinge. XD

THE BEST BREAKFAST IDEA EVER

But I had been warned beforehand that it was Fried Everything On A Stick, so I was mentally prepared. And I'm lucky to have a young healthy body that can take the occasional abuse in stride.
We didn't even get to the deep-fried chocolate bars, which was a minor loss.
You're not so much for carnival food, then?

Yes, it was DOUGHNUT doughnut, so it just ruined the doughnutty sweetness. I don't know how cheeseburger works with it but BBQ doesn't, but them's the breaks. I love pork buns, too, so this was a somber disappointment. Pork buns sound really good right now, actually.

Holy hell, I'm hungry.

:O THOSE LOOK DELICIOUS

I can't even remember the last time I've been to a carnival. 2005, 2006, maybe? And even then, it was more of a street fair and we wound up going to 7-11 and our friend's house for food (first time I had German potato salad or puppy chow, though. OH. EM. GEE). Though we did get brave and try the fried Oreos, which were pretty good! I just have an aversion to fried food in general.

Cheeseburger doughnut?!

...geez, I'm hungry, too. I should find something to eat before I get cranky. Maybe Chinese. XD

Yessss, puppy chow. I'll have to trust you that the fried Oreos were good, though - I don't think we saw those!
I don't like a whole lot of fried food, either, but suddenly, just for one day, there were all these exceptions...

And yes. Cheeseburger on a Krispy Kreme doughnut. With chocolate-covered bacon on it.
One of our crew described it in terms of That One Rurouni Kenshin Attack That Hits All Nine Weak Points At Once.
Yeah.

The funny thing about Indiana politics is that last year a bunch of their politicians came to Illinois to hide to prevent the state senate from being able to vote on some new laws about teaching.

Also, you should plan to come to Illinois again next summer since I will be getting married then ;)

That does sound really weird. I'll have to go read about that.

But.

What.

BBQ pork in a doughnut.... But the chocolate covered bacon cheeseburger on a doughnut sounds really good, and I'm not even fond of bacon :0
Fried cookie dough, how did that taste like? Apparently there is fried ice cream too but I've never had it. (Or seen it for myself, but with some googling it looks really good)

Yesssss, it calls to you... You've got a State Fair, too, right? If the mosquito aren't spreading plague, they gotta have it!

It was hot! Really hot! So it's not hard like cold cookie dough is, no, now it's deep-fried lava cookie. And I cannot stress how filling it was, seriously, I'd say get help eating even one small stick of it.

Sounds like it'd be a bit melty, too, but I've never seen deep-fried ice cream either...
I think if it was ice cream wrapped in ice-cream-sandwich-type cookie and THEN deep-fried, the ice cream might fare better?

Actually I've never been to it because I never had anyone to take me there :I

Lava cookie, oh my.
It literally looks like a fried ball of ice cream. I don't even know how that's possible to deep fry!

D:
Did you want to go?

Yes. Those cookies that they stick in the oven just long enough to get the edges a little hard and melt the entire inside. This was like the ambrosia of my high school years when they sold them at the school store, soooo gooooood. I keep going on and on about cookies, I'm sorry.

Hm. Guess it's possible! I heard they had deep-fried pop at these things, too, but you had to eat it in one bite or else, well, you're eating pop in batter and deep-fried, duh.
