Ooh, I know a column on CBR that may interest you. It's a personal favourite of mine in which every week this guy goes through and reviews the latest comic book covers by Marvel, DC and Dark Horse, picking his top five and sometimes mocking particularly bad ones. He's quite good at pointing out whether or not a cover works.

Seems this month a new guy has taken over from Cronin. No idea if he'll be as good at it. But there are plenty of back issues to look at.

I read it from a mangaka's story, in the story, the guy just finished all his pages, still stressed out, and the editor pushed him to do the cover and asked him to hand it in the next morning.

I think your cover will work enough to make someone pick it up, it can work, especially for a targeted audience of teens. The girls looked like they were street shopping, that's a story. XD

Anyhow, i gave you my feedback, though its a bit late. I don't think you need to redo or scrap the concept, just plan better for the next one.
