Watching the orchestra file out to play the suite of pieces from Carmen with the flowers I had given them stuck in their clothes and hair and instruments.

The flowers were so fun, and sweet, and... I don't know, totally you. That was a really fun performance.

I don't know why it made me so CRAZY happy to give everybody those flowers. Silly, maybe. But then, I think there is very little in the world that is cuter than Knurr waving his drumsticks at you with a daisy between his teeth.

Haha, that sounds totally like Knurr (i.e, supercute).

Life is good! I'm afraid all these days off from work have spoiled me into thinking that four-day work weeks are the norm, but I'll survive. Happy new year to you, too!

That picture of the altos at Kinkakuji is one of my favorite pictures of all time. I... really miss our Japan trip. A lot.

I'm saving up to go back as fast as I can. Except I have all these damn U.S. friends I'm supposed to visit, and of course they have to go and live in interesting places like New York and Chicago. Grrrr.

Sounds like 2008 was amazing on all ends of the spectrum for you~! I'm honestly quite awed at your year.

It really was a very intense year. I hadn't realized quite how much until I filled this out, honestly.
