I can only hope my post-college experience is as awesome. :D Seeing as only large wads of cash and promises of frequent flights to big cities could induce me to stay in my piddly college town, it would necessarily be different, but living with friends is the life.
I do feel like I'm slowly collecting the building blocks for the kind of post-college life I was hoping for, and that this 'salon' notion would be a big step in the right direction. Living in a city definitely helps. But I'm getting the feeling that the people you surround yourself with (or who felicitously crop up in your life and kindly refuse to go away even if you're as bad at keeping in touch as I am) are even more important.
Very true. But when the cosmos aligns your tastes and that of your friends, pushing one step closer to reality the dream of living in a hole-in-the-wall in New York like every Dorothy Parker worshipper romantically, yet tragically, does, life gets that much sweeter.
It's a mixed drink, actually, not single brewable entity. Wine + fresh cut fruit + fresh-squeezed citrus of some sort + sugar + rum or brandy = sangria.
Also, it goes down VERY easily, and people never seem to know/remember/care that it's actually more alcoholic than an equivalent amount of wine... The way I mix it, anyway. *evil grin*
But I do have a friend-of-a-friend who makes a delicious homebrewed mead.

If we actually get this salon thing on its feet, you really should.

We're going through that this week. He's walking around wearing a Hunter sweatshirt in 80 degree weather. *laughs*

I wish I could watch my brother set up his dorm room. Knowing him, I'm pretty sure he's enjoying the process of nest-making perhaps above all else.
