"Probably not, no. I don't much care right now." It even surprised him that it was the truth. Basically, she had been busying herself (because, you know, Draco had heaps of free time) all summer and left no time for their Paris trip.
She was going to spend what should have been their time at the Bletchley's.

If he saw it, she was grateful he ignored it. Sometimes her little impulsive reactions could get her into trouble. She was glad this was not one of those times.
She pursed her lips together as she put her hands on the back of her hips. She rocked on her heels for a moment as she thought of what to say next.
"What do you do now, then?" she asked him, glancing at him curiously. "She's staying with Miles, but loves you-- and you don't really care that you don't love her back. Seems kind of pointless to me."

Cecilia felt like she needed to sit down again. Ever since Draco kissed her, she had realized that was all she could think about. Kissing him, touching him, falling under the ocean with him.
It was beginning to drive her crazy.
"That doesn't seem hard to understand," Cecilia said, not bothering to hide the disdain in her voice. "Draco, I don't think Tracey has been faithful to one boyfriend she has ever had. Forgive me for sounding cruel, but I don't want to see her hurt my best friend."

He went to rubbing his temples again. It would have been easy last week to say why he was still with Tracey-because she was putting out readily available.
Not that he had been trying to push it from his mind, far from it, but Draco hadn't been thinking about the kiss he and Cecilia had shared. Kind of hard when your girlfriend basically shits all over you.
But, he and Cecilia had already been down that road, and it didn't work. Now they were friends. Best of friends. The kiss? He couldn't explain it. He didn't know many other couples like he and Cecilia. Maybe friends like them just.. kissed sometimes?

It didn't work because Draco wasn't ready for a relationship. Suddenly he was, and it was not with her. Cecilia nodded her head lamely. What else was she supposed to do?
She tucked her hair behind her ears and let out a small, and quiet sigh. She suddenly felt the urge to hit something. She almost thought about kissing Draco again, just for the sheer aggression of it.
She needed to stop feeling so frustrated. She made a mental note to call on Braeden later. He was always good for an interesting time.
"You can't," Cecilia repeated, trying to make sense of it all. "Well. Then it's your dilemma to deal with. Nothing I say can really fix this for you."

Oh right. Well, apparently he still wasn't as he cheated on his current relationship. That's usually a good sign. Good for Cecilia for being logical.
Unfortunately, like most men, Draco had to make every decision with his penis. And that meant, Tracey stayed for now. No matter what he was feeling. Though.. she was neglecting some of her duties to it lately..
"I know, I'm not asking you to fix it. I just.. needed to tell you." He told her everything else. Of course he was going to tell her about this.

She was always going to sit there and listen to him. She had been listening to him for the past couple of years, why stop now? It wasn't Draco's fault that Cecilia was secretly in love with him.
She chewed miserably on her bottom lip for a moment before taking a breath.
"What happened at the beach the other day?"
She was bringing it up now whether he could handle it or not. She was going to be short, simple and sweet. She had to be for her own sanity.
"Don't do it again. Not unless you really mean it."

She could never hate Draco. She could never even attempt to really slap him in the face. She didn't have it in her to do any such thing to her best friend. Instead, she dealt with the stupid shit he pulled.
"Stop," she said, waving her hand in front of her face. "I know. I care about you a lot too, Draco. Which is why I can't.... I won't just be the person you come to when Tracey is treating you like crap."
As much as she wanted to be with him, she had her pride to think about.

He looked down at his hands again, and in a quiet, deep voice he made an attempt at his best apology, "I'm sorry I took advantage of you and all, but I need to go to you. I need you, Cecilia."

One simple sentence. One sentence, four words and Cecilia knew he had her. It wasn't much of a contest. Regardless of the gall she thought she had, she was a sucker. She would do anything for Draco.
She made the attempt to stand up and realizing she could, she moved to sit next to Draco.
"You have me," she said. "You always have and I'm pretty sure you always will. Just be careful with me."
