But there was no answer- just the sound of soft breathing, slightly muffled by a fluffy pillow.

Riley O'Dannihugh lay under his blankets, fast asleep and completely innocent. The only time he completely was in fact. The covers were pulled up over his bare shoulders so just his head half peeked out from underneath the green bedding, the rest shielded by the bangs of his brown hair.

Which needed cutting.

She came closer inside the room, before resting her body softly against the post of his bed. She regarded him carefully, smiling down at him. He was the only person in the whole world that she really cared about. He looked so peaceful as he laid there. Then she noticed his hair, and frowned.

It really was getting far too long. She moved closer to him, bending down over him to examine the dark locks.

Almost as if he'd felt her presence (God knew he didn't. That boy slept like a log), Riley scrunched up his nose and flipped his hair away before settling back down on the pillow.

A little shot of laughter escaped from her lips, and she reached her hand out toward his bangs. She brushed them out of his eyes softly, as to not wake him. She was sort of hoping he would be awake, of course. Otherwise she wouldn't have put so much effort into looking so damn cute.

"Ahh," she sighed, before crawling into the bed beside him. "So much for an exciting night."
