Heh. Now that is an interesting story to say the least.
Now I'm not exactly fond of online dating myself (although to its credit, several married/to-be-married people on my flist did meet via online), but speaking as the caring-but-paranoid friend, I'd be a little cautious about jumping into things too soon. Just kinda talk for a few more weeks and then -if he's willing- move on to phone calls. That sorta thing, ya'know?
I just hope that, if and when you eventually meet with him, he turns out to be who he says he is. And I say that because I care for you as a friend and I just want you to be happy and safe. <3
I totally understand, it'll be a few months before we even have an opp. to meet, and we could totally decide not to do this.
