I like this disconnected-ness

Some of these read almost like random thoughts flitting through the mind, or little memory fragments. And that fits River really, really well.

Memory fragments, I like that way of seeing it. Interestingly, I see this as a very similar physical set-up as the 100 Word Mini-No, just set far down the road, along with the longer, The Nights....

Your River is my hero

Just thought that bore mentioning.

With River in general these memory fragments could be coming from any place in the stream. They could be from the ocean, the mountain snow that melts and flows, the condensing rainclouds; she's definitely become one of my three favorite characters to write/read from the POV of.

I am intrigued that you see her that way because I see her and Jayne flowing around each other creating those very landscapes in their dreams and daydreams with one another. I love the condensing rainclouds analogy- YES!
