When I turned on the light Jessie was sitting on the bed staring at Molly, who always sleeps on my feet. Molly was unresponsive. My husband and I were sure she was dead. Then we saw she had very shallow breathing and ( Read more... )

Oh Cathleen, my heart is aching for you! What a frightening night for all four of you. I truly hope Molly has more happy, healthy years ahead of her.

*hugs you tight*

Thanks so much, Shirebound. Knowing others care does make it a little easier to bear. This has been a tough week but I'm pleased to say Molly seems to be doing better at the moment and no more scary episodes, at least as of yet. We also have an awesome vet, Dr Teresa Dewey, she is just wonderful with my girls!

Hi Linda, thanks for the kind words. It's so hard when they get old. At least so far, Jessie, my Peke, and my calico, Virginia Lee, are doing well!

Hi GW,
Molly *is* a little better! The meds seem to be helping her. She needs frequent blood tests, but we are weathering that, so we'll see. My great hope is that when it is her time, she goes out running, literally, because running is her passion. I can hardly bear the thought of another long illness like poor Meggie went through. And the very thoughtful pictures you made for me still bring me a huge amount of comfort. I have the one of the 3 of them together on my desktop. Meggie seems close to us every day. I just can't thank you enough, it is very special to me. *Hugs*

I am so very glad that the photos help you. It helped me to make them. At that time, I really needed something to occupy my mind. I hope Molly continues to improve and that she has a lovely summer.
