Oh, we had the same theory. what should we call it? Allegory? Whatever it is called, I think this is fairly valid, based on your explanations. At least, this perspective make Ursula-Cesare scenes and Paolo-Lucrezia scenes interesting.
I'd like to write about the theme, Can I cite your paragraphs? Of course, I will credit. Nice review!!
Oooh cool, great minds thing alike! :) Idk if allegory is quite right, but I can't think of a better word. I think I saw someone call Ursula 'the permissible Lucrezia' though, which was pretty cool. Don't remember who, but I could probably find it on one of these threads. There are just several parallels between Cesare and Lucrezia and their romantic relationships that I think are very interesting. At least, more interesting than if you take those relationships just as they are, particularly Cesare and Ursula. Lucrezia and Paolo at least make some sort of sense given the circumstances, but C/U does not make any sense to me at all without the Lucrezia parallels.
Go for it! I'd like to see your thoughts on it. :)
