Anyone else rewatching the Borgias? Watching it again now and oh, the magic between C+L.

Not yet, but I'm going to Florence in October and I want to rewatch the show before then. Right now I'm reading a book on Savonarola, though, and Kate Quinn's Borgia series, which scratches the itch nicely (even though the characters in Ms Quinn's books are quite different from the show!).

Florence in October will be beautiful! I'm going to check out the Kate Quinn books you mentioned. I need something to fill the void- thanks for the suggestion :D

Oh, do! There are two books. The first one is called The Serpent and the Pearl, and the second one is The Lion and the Rose. Giulia Farnese is one of the main characters, and it basically starts when Rodrigo first sets his eyes on her and tries to seduce her ( ... )

Alas, I haven't rewatched it in a long time, but my dad actually watched it for the first time a few months back and his text messages/reactions were hilarious. Let's just say that he as not quite as understanding about the incest...:p

I watch fanvids and re-read fic more often than I watch whole episodes but I did rewatch most of season one at the start of the year and it was a delight to see the character development again! I've filled up my yuletide nominations with other shows but this one usually gets nominated a couple of times and requested enough that I can usually offer it and enjoy writing and then reading all the resulting fic!
