So...thoughts on Cesare and Charlotte? I happened to think that their relationship is quite cool. I mean, obviously I'd rather Cesare was sleeping with Lucrezia (and clearly so does he), but you can tell that their marriage was just political. Political but friendly. I'm glad the writers didn't go down the route of having Cesare 'fall in love' with his new wife, but rather had her as a catalyst for his feelings for Lucrezia. There was no real love there, just a contended marriage of convenience ( ... )

Haha I love Micheletto now. He's awesome. His and Lucrezia's scenes were so cool. Have you seen the promo for episode 6 floating around tumblr? It looks EPIC.

Yeah they are really keeping us on our toes in terms of when these things get out, it's rather annoying...:/ Oh well!

and all the wine he was drinking in the bedroom? I'm not the first to point that out, but I think it's so telling!

Oh is that why you think they had a close-up of the wine? I was wondering if there was a concern about poison or something, lol...but I like your interpretation! (Just like how he drank heavily even at the thought of going to look for a bride in 3x03, lol!).

Wow, didn't even notice that but it seems so obvious now!

I have to admit...I laughed at the weird seductive music playing in the bedroom scene. Cesare undressing to the sounds of Spanish guitar. If he wasn't so beautiful it would have been painful.

It was in slow-mo as well. LOL

EVERYTHING was in slow-mo tonight, lol...the opening scene with Lucrezia crying in her father's arms, the scene when Alfonso and the hunting party return with Ferdinand's corpse at the end, the scenes at the end with Bianca iirc...I kind of like its use for dramatic effect, negl! ;)

Great episode, minus Rodrigo/Bianca. Filler, waste of time. Her husband is a douche, but so is Rodrigo.

Have him work on replenishing those coffers or something, who really watches this show to see him get his dick wet 5 times per season?

Yeah, that whole storyline was really weird and boring until the end, when it got creepy and sad but still...I mean, I guess it's vaguely connected to the Caterina plot in that it shows how one of her plans got foiled, but it was very random, unless we see it having an effect on Rodrigo in the future re: don't have affairs with married women/feel guilty. Definitely the one flaw in an otherwise perfect and fantastic episode...the only part I liked was when Cardinal Sforza was summoned by the guard and took over clean-up; I love how he has become Rodrigo's known #2 and Cesare replacement in the consistory now!

But yeah, last week seeing him worry about politics and diplomacy and sassing ambassadors was much more interesting, let's see more of that!
