Thank you for this podfic. This story has never been one of my favorites, in spite of me loving Xanthe's writing, because it's difficult for me to read. I could never get the voices in my mind right when I did. (I flee from any hint of pain) Listening to it, I LOVE it. Your podfic really gets the love, trials, pain (non-physical) and reasoning of the characters across, which I've never been able to do just by reading these stories. For the first time, I get (it) the characters, and they are in no way OOC, which is how I read them in my head. I love Xanthe's writing, even though it disturbs me, and takes me out of my comfort zone. You made it beautiful, and understandable, so thank you. Please, keep up the wonderful work.

Oh my word ... thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked it, and I'm thrilled I could help you relate to it. I found the story so easy to get when I first read it, even with it being so AU. Of course it doesn't hurt that I really identify with John and how he feels in it.
